How does it work?
The Web Genome Project works by creating a numerical profile, or 'genome', for people and pages on the Internet.
When you download the MyWebDNA extension, you complete a short survey that generates your 7 digit 'intention genome'.
This intention genome is not personally identifying in any way; it isn't unique to you, and doesn't contain any demographic or historical information. It is simply a numerical representation of your purpose and values at that moment.
As you surf the Web with the extension installed, two things happen:
1. The genomes of the sites you visit get updated, and
2. Your genome gets updated.
The Web Genome Project interactive display allows you to search every web page with an intention genome, and sort them in order of their relevance to you.
Download the WGP extension now to join us in mapping the intention of the World Wide Web.
What's the science behind it?
The Web Genome Project was born from the study of human intention, reflected in the pages of the Internet.
Human intention is a complex system, like the economy or the weather, and can be mapped mathematically and represented visually. Find out more about the mathematics of human intention.
Tough Privacy
We guarantee your privacy unconditionally. The Web Genome Project and the MyWebDNA extension never track or store the sites you visit, ever. Find out how we do it.
